Industrial Metal Guitar
Industrial metal fuses machine-like electronic textures with crushing guitar riffs. Rammstein and Marilyn Manson built the blueprint: heavily downtuned guitars playing repetitive, hypnotic riffs over programmed beats and synth layers. The guitar tone is thick, processed and often layered with effects.
The riffs themselves are usually not technically difficult, but the tone and rhythmic precision required to make them hit properly is demanding.

Drop D or lower tunings with very high gain and tight palm muting. The riffs lock to mechanical, quantized drum patterns, so your timing needs to be metronomic. Many industrial songs use a single-riff-repeating structure where the intensity comes from production layers rather than musical variation.
Du Hast is the perfect starting point: one main riff, Drop D tuning, and a focus on pure rhythmic impact. See also Nu Metal and Groove Metal.
